B.Sc (N) & M.Sc(N) Degree Programmes
Ph.D Doctoral Programme
The purpose of these degree programmes are to enable the students to get a broader vision of nursing based on scientific principles and extensive clinical experience. Graduates of these programmes with this experience can rapidly move into leadership and supervisory positions in teaching and practice.
The Curriculum and Syllabus for the course shall be prescribed by the University from time to time based on Indian Nursing Council (INC) syllabus.
2. Duration of the Course:
B.Sc(N) - The duration of the course will be 4 academic years
M.Sc(N) - The duration of the course will be 2 academic years
3. Commencement of the Course:
B.Sc(N) - The Course will normally commence from 1st August of every year.
M.Sc(N) - The Course will normally commence from 1st May & 1st August as two batches in every year.
4. Medium of instruction:
English shall be the medium of instruction, both for study and examinations.
5. Working days in an academic year:
B.Sc(N) - Working days for an academic year should not be less than 270 days.
M.Sc(N) - Working days for an academic year should not be less than 290 days.
6. Attendance required for the examinations:
The attendance required for the admission to the examinations is 90% in each subject in theory and practical separately. Lack of attendance in any one subject will be a disqualification for the entire examination.
7. Candidates for promotion:
Promotion shall be prescribed by the University from time to time.
8. Submission of practical record book (Log Book):
Candidates are required to submit their practical record books to the Principal 15 days prior to the commencement of university theory examination.
