I Prof. Dr. K. Priscilla, HOD of Nursing Foundation take the privilege of welcoming you all to the Department of Nursing Foundation at C.S.I JACON. The main focus of this department is to provide a basic foundation and promote practical based hands on learning environment in institution and hospitals.This department strives hard to acquaint the budding nurses to sharpen their core Nursing skills by taking up theoretical and practical measures in requisite quantum.
HOD'S DESK
Our laboratories have been well established not only to cover the syllabus but to motivate students to learn beyond the syllabus which develops complete knowledge of the subject and skills to become an efficient nurse in future.The department has well qualified faculty and staff members who are available to the students all the time.
I wish to take the opportunity to assure that i will try my best to maximize student's participation both in theory and clinical exposure.
VISION
The Nursing foundation department helps the students to acquire knowledge and skills with proper application of scientific principles, develop an attitude that involves integration of ethics and professional skills while doing nursing procedures in ideal situations.
MISSION
The department of Nursing Foundation enhances the integration of learning in anatomy and physiology, biochemistry, nutrition, microbiology to prepare competent nurses for providing efficient and safe nursing care to meet the health care of society.

- Describe the concept of health, illness and health care agencies.
- Explain the concept and scope of Nursing
- Describe values, code of ethics and professional conduct for Nurses in India.
- Communicate effectively with patient families and team members and maintain effective human relation.
- Document Nursing process.
- Describe health assessment of each body systems.
- Explain the principles, routines,effects of administration of medications.
- Explain the care of patients having alteration in body functioning.
- Maintain Nursing foundation lab.
- Involve students in patient care activities.
- Supervise students in clinical settings.
